When it came to spec’ing the AM1 bike only the very best was good enough. This bike has 200mm travel and is designed to be ridden aggressively on the world’s toughest tracks so the parts we have chosen are all top-notch and selected by our team for strength and reliability - whether you’re racing World Cups or pushing your limits at the local trails you can 100% rely on every component, lap after lap.
Our DH bike is focused on winning. You’ll feel instantly at home as it dials down the volume of features enabling you to dial up the speed! Time and again our team riders tell us that they feel super-confident on this agile and playful bike.
Our carbon tubing is custom-built for us to achieve the perfect balance of stiffness and compliance – meaning that your Atherton Bike will track the trail like no other. The DW6 suspension platform offers suppleness at the top of the stroke for outstanding small bump sensitivity, good support in the mid-stroke for optimal ride height and the progressive nature of the kinematic accommodates even the biggest of hits. So whether we’re pointing this bike at the top turns of Fort William’s downhill track, the endless big hits of Val di Sole or even the massive jumps and drops of Red Bull Hardline it’s got what it takes and plenty more.
“The overall balance of geometry, suspension, chassis compliance and components adds up to such a pleasurable riding experience that I did not want to stop.” Dan Roberts, Pinkbike
Build 1 feature Fox 40s with Fox DHX2 225/75 on the rear, custom-tuned for our DW6 platform and 200mm of travel. It’s a suspension set-up that carried Rachel to two World Cup victories in her first season of racing the bike and Andi to his first World Cup podium in Men’s Elite.
X01 DH delivers quicker shifting, smarter gear steps and more precise chain management. As used by our race team across the UCI DH World Cup circuit, it's hard-working and well-rounded. Lightweight and durable. This is the absolute top of the field — for those that know the difference.
The SRAM Code RSC has larger fluid reservoirs and pistons and delivers massive amounts of power, reliable modulation, and unrivalled heat management for those extended descents and regular "drop the anchor" moments.
We love Stan’s wheels and Conti tyres so that’s what you’ll find on all of our production bikes. Our World Cup team bikes and Build 1 product feature Stans Flow EX3 wheelset and Conti Kryptotal while the super-efficient Sram XO1 DH drivetrain makes sure that every watt of the power you put down reaches those wheels.
