THE ATHERTON EMTB. FIRST AND SECOND PRODUCTION RUNS SOLD OUT. THIRD BATCH AVAILABLE TO PRE-ORDER
After years of riding, testing and refining what an EMTB should be, we’re ready to launch our first electric mountain bike.
This is an EMTB designed around balance, control and proper fit, not compromise. Geometry, suspension, motor and battery were developed together to deliver unmatched confidence and composure on the trail.
With twelve frame sizes, no cut-down batteries for smaller riders, and a long-travel enduro platform developed in the same Dyfi terrain that shapes all of our bikes, this is how an Atherton EMTB should ride.
The final reveal and full product details will be published at launch in April 2026. Pre-orders are now open for the third production batch, with final balance due mid-May and delivery scheduled for late June to July 2026.
Fit, balance, control and full power. Built from the ground up.

FAQ's
When will pre-order bikes be delivered?
Pre-order bikes are scheduled to begin shipping from April to May 2026, once production starts at the end of February.
Pre-orders allow us to secure parts and start building earlier, so delivery is sooner than standard production timelines after launch.
How does the pre-order payment work?
You pay a £1,000 deposit when placing your order. The remaining balance is due at the end of February 2026, just before production begins. You will receive an email with a secure payment link for the final balance.
Can I pre-order with finance or cycle to work payment options?
The pre-order bikes are only available to purchase through card payment or bank transfer. Our full selection of payment options will be available once the bike has officially launched.
Can I cancel my pre-order?
Yes. You can cancel your order at any time before production starts and receive a full refund of your deposit. Once production begins and the final balance is paid, our standard cancellation and returns policy applies.
What if I miss the pre-order window?
We have limited the number of bikes available for pre-order so that we can also offer bikes at the official launch in April.
If you miss the pre-order window, you will still be able to order at launch, subject to availability and standard S-Range production lead times.
You can also sign up for stock notifications to get early access when launch bikes become available.
Can I change my size or build after ordering?
Minor changes may be possible before production starts, depending on timing and parts availability. Once frames enter production, changes become very limited. If you are unsure about sizing or spec, we recommend contacting our sales team before placing your order.
Will more configuration options be available at launch?
Yes. Our full configurator with additional component options will go live before the official launch. Pre-order bikes are offered in fixed builds to keep production and delivery timelines on track. If want to tweak your build to somehting more bespoke, you may prefer to wait until launch.
What size should I choose?
We recommend using our Fit Calculator (at the top of this page), which is based on rider measurements and riding style. Most riders choose a similar size to their analogue MTB, although some prefer slightly shorter reach on an EMTB for a little more agility. If you would like help choosing, our sales team is happy to advise.
Is the battery removable?
The battery is housed inside the downtube to protect the battery and maximise chassis strength. It is not designed for trailside swapping, and must be charged 'on bike', but it can be accessed easily for service and transport when needed.
What warranty is included?
All Atherton frames come with a lifetime warranty for the first owner and the chassis is tested to EFBE Category 5 standards, the highest strength classification for mountain bikes.
The Avinox motor comes with a 2 year warranty- and carries a Category 4 rating. Making the complete S.170E approved for Category 4 useage.
Can I see or test the bike before ordering?
Demo opportunities will be rolled out after the official launch in April. If demo access is important to you, you may prefer to wait until after launch.
